iTechnology Design has released it's initial version of the Secure RSS Reader

Today, iTechnology Design submitted the first release version of the Secure RSS Reader to Apple for approval and sale in the App Store.

Secure RSS Lite is a free application for iPhone and iPod Touch. This free version allows the user to read a single RSS Feed that can be configured from the settings application. The configuration screen allows the user to specify a feed URL, protocol, local caching, username and password.

Secure RSS Pro will be available in the near future from the AppStore for purchase and will allow the user to configure up to 5 RSS feeds. Both the free and paid version feature optional use of SSL, authentication setup, and local caching of XML content for offline reading. Use the settings App to configure feed details.

The intent of this first release is to gauge market response to this tool to determine future feasibility of a more feature rich version. We are requesting feedback from early users relating to RSS reeds that the application does or does not correctly render so that future versions of the application have the greatest possible compatibility.
